Mrs. Fehrenbach is our Elementary Principal. She is passionate about education because education can be a key to so many opportunities, and because she loves learning new things.

Mrs. Fehrenbach lives here in Suttons Bay with her family. She loves math and loves bike riding on the Leelanau Trail, camping in the UP, and sailing and swimming in Lake Michigan.

I'm Ashley Shimek, Suttons Bay Middle and Virtual School principal. This is my fifth year in the district and I absolutely love being a part of our school community.

This is my 11th year in education. I began my career in Myrtle Beach, SC where I taught 3rd grade and students with autism in a self-contained classroom. I moved back home (downstate) where my career continued in special education and I moved to Northern MI shortly after. My last 4 years here at SB have been serving the virtual school as the special education teacher and principal.

I live in Maple City with my husband, 2 step-sons who are 11 and 8, and our beloved dog, River.
